African Journal of Environmental Assessment and Management publishing full-length research papers and review articles covering subjects that fall under the wide spectrum of Environmental Assessment and Management. The journal is dedicated towards dissemination of knowledge related to the advancement in Management research. The prestigious interdisciplinary editorial board reflects the diversity of subjects covered in this journal. 

This journal provides a forum for the discussion of environmental problems and management around the world and for the presentation of management results. It is aimed not only at the environmental manager, but at anyone concerned with the sustainable use of environmental resources.

Papers submitted should use a range of techniques e.g. case studies, observational and theoretical analyses, the application of science, engineering and technology to questions of environmental concern or mathematical and computer modeling techniques with the aim of informing both the researcher and practitioner. African Journal of Environmental Assessment and Management is published by AJEAM-RAGEE Society for Education and Environment. The journal now brings out monthly issues January 2016 onwards and brought out irregularly publications since its inception in 1999. From 1999 to end of 2007 the journal was published in electronic version and since the beginning of 2008 until the end of 2015 the journal was published in printed paper. Since the beginning of 2016, the Editorial Board In order to prevent counterfeiting and abuse of the Journal decided to re-publish the journal in electronic version (new website). The journal is addressed to both practicing professionals and researchers in the field of Environmental Assessment and Management, professionals in academia, former researchers, students and other specialists interested in the results of scientific research and related subjects covered by the journal.
Manuscripts submitted to the African Journal of Environmental Assessment and Management are approved by the Editor-in-chief followed by formal peer review process conducted in collaboration with editorial board members and independent referees. 

Submissions to the African Journal of Environmental Assessment and Management pass through a double-blind peer-review process. The criteria for publication in African Journal of Environmental Assessment and Management are as follows: 
•  The study presents the results of primary scholarly research. 
•  Results reported have not been published elsewhere. 
•  The research meets all applicable standards of ethics and research integrity. 
•  Experiments, statistics, and other analyses are performed to a high technical standard and are described in sufficient detail. 
•  Conclusions are presented in an appropriate fashion and are supported by the data. 
•  The article is presented in an intelligible fashion and is written in Standard English. 
Once the manuscripts have passed quality control, they are assigned to a member of the Editorial Board (or an expert who is not a member of the Board) for conducting the peer-review process and for making a decision to accept, invite revision of, or reject the article.
